I have news…good news! We got a puppy this weekend to add to the family! He is full of love, and has a strong passion for food and cuddles! 😉 His name is Yogi and he is a French bulldog! It is making me think back to this time last year when we had the beautiful addition of Lotus, our Bull Terrier! The thing I love about animals is not only there unique personalities but their selfless spirit. Lotus has been putting up with the puppy nibbles and returning them with love. That is such a beautiful example to have. Lotus is truly emphasizing the concept of a pure heart with her gentle nature. She is setting a good example for Yogi as he becomes accustomed to his new world!
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Yogi is learning about the environment and is fearless in his endeavors. He charges at all obstacles with faith in the unknown. He makes leaps and bounds each and every day…even if it would seem out of one’s comfort zone. I love that. And, of course, after conquering his desires, he takes a nap…because we all need rest! 😉
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future” ~ Proverbs 31:25
It is beautiful that God gave us such pure, innocent examples to admire and to take care of. It is a blessing to treasure an opportunity to see a tiny creature grow into his fur rolls and discover the abundance that life has to offer. Will I love without withholding like Lotus? Will I take leaps and bounds without fear of the future like Yogi? I sure hope so! God places lessons in your life and I am grateful they are cuddly, loyal, and adorable!
Hmmm, why can’t people be more like dogs?
Tell me about your fur babies! I would love to hear all about them!
“So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good” – Genesis 1:21
